I’ve always had a love for The Kentucky Derby. Maybe it’s because it falls on my birthday each year? Maybe it’s because I’m fond of any event you can wear extra large hats and dainty lace gloves to? Or maybe, and let’s be honest, most likely it’s because of the mint juleps.

The crisp combination of Kentucky bourbon and mint leaves in a silver julep cup, well it just doesn’t get any more classic and Southern than that? And while I do love a classic, for race day this year I decided to create a strawberry and tangerine version of the traditional. Enjoy! truly, MKR
