I dare you to find a baby shower lovelier than this. From Native Poppy‘s incredible florals, to every last whimsical detail, perfectly executed by Hitched With Huff, it’s safe to say that sweet baby Amelia Rose is one lucky little lady. And if you’re looking for more (oh yes, there’s more!), the gallery is where you need to be. Jose Valdez has outdone himself on this one!
From Hitched with Huff… When new parents-to-be Veronica and Jeff came to me wanting something completely different than a traditional baby shower, I couldn’t resist. I have always had an affection for smaller, intimate affairs, graced with good food and meaningful sentiment! They wanted to celebrate our growing family with all the things they love: family and friends, good food and drinks (Jeff loves a well made cocktail!)
We brought a classic mix with a touch of vintage, allowing for a casual, delightful gathering of loved ones and close friends. From the minute guests walked through the door they were greeted with a touch of whimsy and relaxed elegance. A wooden swing of stunning florals floated beneath a golden Amelia Rose sign. The same font used for the sign was also incorporated throughout the design of the invitations and the hues continued throughout with menus and signage. A beautiful gown passed down from generation to generation was displayed near the entrance next to beautiful florals arranged in a very special vase that was delivered to the hospital the day the mom-to-be was born. Notes from loved ones were also gathered for Amelia Rose’s baby book.
Crafted in love, we kept things artisan, authentic and unexpected. Muted color palettes and subtle pops of color complimented handcrafted chairs and tables for guests to sit and connect over well-made cocktails and locally-sourced ingredients. The big hit was a vintage food station we nestled in near cozy picnic areas, featuring beautifully prepared seasonal dishes made with love from Veronica’s family’s kitchen. Guests delighted over the sight of artisan cheese boards, charcuterie platters, hand pies and gourmet grilled flatbread. Small sweet bites of salted caramel brownies and lemon cheesecake bars helped sealed the deal. The presentation was lovely!
Native Poppy kept the vibe laid back and natural by incorporating eucalyptus garland dotted with gold leaves and pods on the bar area and draped over the salvaged barn door. Creamy white roses and pops of pink ranunculus were strategically placed throughout the garlands and centerpieces and heartier elements of artichokes and rosemary were sprinkled throughout the celebration. The result — a charming event space with low lighting and high spirits.
It was incredible to sit back and watch guests delight in the excitement of a different kind of baby shower.
