I’ve yet to experience the whole making a human thing, but I have a number of friends who have and I know for certain that the few days post-baby is exhausting. You’re sore, tired, & the last thing you want is visitors at all hours. Enter: Elizabeth Duncan Events & Andrea Jacobson for The Observatory‘s baby sip & see. Once you’ve recovered a touch, throw a mini shindig in which everyone can come at once to oogle your new bundle!
From Elizabeth Duncan Events… Hillary wanted to host a sweet and chic party to celebrate the arrival of her baby girl, Courtney. With a brand new baby girl, we knew hearts and flowers and ruffles and bows were a must! We chose the theme “A Heart Full of Love,” and combined a pink, red and gold color palette with bold font designs, playful signs (“All You Need Is Love…and Champagne” was one of our favorites), and a menu featuring childhood favorites with a grown up twist, such as Salted Caramel Milkshakes tipsy with bourbon.
Hillary also wanted to include several DIY projects she could do with friends to add the personal touch. Hillary’s knack for crafting certainly was on display in the custom-painted wooden monogram, hearts and flowers banners, tissue flower display, heart drink stirrers, glitter clothes pins sign holders, painted children’s LOVE blocks, and photo displays.
The party perfectly expressed the love and blessings Hillary feels about her daughter and the incredible friends and family who shared in the day.
