If you ask me, the best way to beat the winter blues is to surround yourself with Spring inspired things. And that just became significantly easier with this handy-dandy DIY from Mimi Nicole Events and Paula Player Photography! Our suggestion? Next time it snows out there, close those dang drapes and get your spring on!
Normal gardening clippers from Home Depot
Fill your vessel with cool water and trim all the excess foliage off your flower’s stems (anything that goes beneath the water line is excess).
Start w/ your foliage (geranium and dusty miller) and arrange it in your vessel. This will serve as your outline for building the rest of your arrangement.
Place your larger face, focal flowers (garden roses and anenomes) in next. I like to keep them trimmed down smaller near the mouth of the vessel.
Now you can start placing in your ranunculus and parrot tulips. Both of these have a lot of movement and shape, so feel free to just let them do their thing!
Fill in any holes w/ your sweet pea and top off the arrangement w/ some whimsical veronica!
