Is everyone else as sick of winter as I am? I don’t think I’ll be the first to say that this year has been bad. Brutal, even! But instead of whining about the cold, damp, terrible, no-good conditions (oh, I could go on!) I’m thinking we should try to capitalize. And what better way to do so than with a super simple, super adorable hot chocolate party a la Christina Vo. Captured by Sonya Yruel, it’s all right here.

And though this particular party utilized Ticket Kitchen‘s ready-made hot chocolate on a stick, we thought we’d share our own version (just in case you need them in your life, and I seriously think you do!)

Hot Chocolate on a StickSimply warm some milk, stir and enjoy! The best hot chocolate you may ever try

Serves 25Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
  • 18 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 oz unsweetened, good quality chocolate (like Ghirardelli)
  • 25 lollipop or popsicle sticks
Instructions
  1. Place all chocolate in a heat-proof bowl.
  2. Whisk cream and condensed milk in a saucepan until combined. Place over medium high heat and whisk constantly until it comes to a simmer.
  3. Pour overtop chocolate and slowly mix until combined.
  4. Pour mixture into an 8x8" parchment lined baking dish and place in fridge until hard (3-4 hours)
  5. Once firm, cut into 25 pieces and skewer with sticks!
