From Karson Butler Events…We loved collaborating with Laura to design a Valentine’s Day inspired look for her Washington, DC workshop. As we hosted the class in our own design studio on historic Capitol Hill, collaborating on the workshop together was extra special for us! One of our anchoring design elements for the workshop was to incorporate chalkboard – we knew Laura would be instructing from large chalkboards at the front of the room, so we wanted to integrate them into the design. We created custom mats for each attendee with chalkboard paper, and Laura personalized the attendee names on top.
Petal and Print provided gorgeous romantic blooms in various shades of pinks and Party Rental Ltd.’s hot pink chiavari chairs completed the look. Our refreshment station included heart-shaped macarons from The Sweet Lobby (pink champagne and red velvet, of course!), mini pink cans of our favorite bubbly Sofia, One Hope Wines, and sparkling pink lemonade. Laura’s drink stirrers and cocktail napkins added the perfect touch, and each attendee received a swoon-worthy signature Laura Hooper Calligraphy tote bag with a love quote to carry their materials home in.
Stay tuned as we have CALLIGRAPHY 101 and a fun GIVEAWAY coming up next!
