I think that if Jacquelyn and I could paint our entire world white...we would. That pristine, romantic, utterly ethereal white on white palette that makes homes large and small feel so so beautiful. Well, this white washed SoHo loft was designed by Homepolish seems to have come straight out of our dreams with enormous windows, white everything and ceilings and ceilings and ceilings for days.
Some homes are so jaw-droppingly beautiful, they continue haunt your dreams long after you’ve first set eyes on them. This grand SoHo loft, owned by Marissa Vosper of Negative Underwear and her fiance, is no exception. Housed in a former textile factory and with towering 14-foot ceilings, a raw, sprawling floorplan, massive windows, and towering Corinthian columns, it’s no surprise.
To create a distinctive entryway, they added a large, whitewashed bookcase and filled it with stacks of white-covered books. In the dining room, backless Louis ghost chairs make the perfect counterpoint to a rough-hewn farmer’s table from Restoration Hardware. Put simply, it's what dreams are made of! In the living room area, a plush upholstered sofa from ABC Carpet & Home mingles with Alexander and Pearl’s eye-catching "sketch" chandelier.
Eager to make it their own while still preserving the open, airy atmosphere, they decided on a sophisticated white-on-white color palette that weaves in classic French antiques with modernist touches.
