There are two things that I could not, would not, ever want to live without: good food, and fabulous friends. And when you pair the two together, in a wide open field in the middle of fall no less, you’re basically speaking my love language. Beautifully designed by Celeste Greene and exquisitely captured by Brumley and Wells, this is one event that you may want to bookmark for future reference. Oh, and the gallery? It’s chalk full of great ideas.
From Celeste Greene… This harvest dinner shoot was a vision I dreamt up three years ago and have been thinking about it ever since. This year, my friends, collaborators and I decided to put it into action! I wanted to create a earthy but elegant feeling in the middle of the tall grass, rock cliffs and trees turning their colors for fall while capturing the last of our garden’s bounty.
The table was made using logs for legs and and old wooden table top. The benches used for seating were handmade by a local carpenter. The potato sack napkins were hand dyed with red tea for the light amber color. A pinecone garland was strung along the center of the table around hand made beeswax candles in mason jars. The food was simple, handmade pizzas, salads and decadent hot buttered rums. In other words? Perfection.
