Now here’s a notion I could happily get on board with. A Thanksgiving feast with your closest friends in addition to the one surrounded by family? It may be the most brilliant idea yet. Not only do you get to wine and dine with your nearest and dearest, you get to do it twice! I do believe that Melanie & Myka are on to something. Oh, and there’s more where this came from right here.
From Myka… When Melanie approached me to help her with a styled shoot my answer was yes yes yes! Spending time in Healdsburg during the gorgeous Fall season is one of my all-time favorite pastimes, so it was a no brainer. We brainstormed and decided that a Friendsgiving styled shoot was the perfect plan. So we asked a few of our talented friends to donate their amazing skills. Amanda from One True Love Vintage provided the table and chairs, Lindsay from Frances Lane provided the plates, flatware and glasses, Alex + Craig from The Aerialist Press provided the menus and signage, Edyta, Georges, Susan and Ben helped to make the day a success.
We all love doing styled shoots, but at the end of the day, I’m always sad that no one is actually going to have a little party after all of the hard work everyone has put in to make a gorgeous tablescape . So, Melanie and I decided to ask everyone to stay after and we had an actual Friendsgiving party! It was amazing. To take in the beauty of the Gasparini Beals Private Vineyard, drink wine, and laugh the afternoon away, was absolutely perfect!
I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more fun day, and it reminds me of why I love working with all of these people so very much.
They are colleagues, but more importantly they are great friends! Happy Friendsgiving everyone.
