I'm a firm believer that big style doesn't necessarily require a big budget. And Bridget, half of the cute  DIY Playbook's, home is living proof. By slowly collecting inexpensive pieces and adorable finds over time, she and her mister-to-be have created a sweet home that they should be incredibly proud of. Captured by Gina Cristine, there's a whole lot more house right here in the gallery.

From Bridget... I'm so excited to share a peek into my home! Alongside my co-blogging best friend, Casey, I invited the fabulous Gina Cristine Photography to shoot my home in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.

My fiance, Matt, and I purchased our suburban ranch last year and have been working hard to make it our own ever since. With a mix of new pieces, antique finds, and do-it-yourself projects ww have worked to create a home that reflects our quirky personalities.

If I could describe my design style in one word, it would be "cozy". With hints of nautical *(for her), rustic (for him) and preppy-ness (compromise... we're both teachers), the home that the we affectionately named the "Longview Lodge" is a cozy little space that invites guests to sit back and relax together.

With wedding planning in full gear and lots of updates on the backyard happening, we homeowners don't want to break the bank while decorating our new digs. We're always adventuring around town to incorporate garage sale finds, estate sale treasures, or steals from local discount stores into our space. My co-blogging best friend and I are confident that big league decorating dreams are completely attainable on rookie salaries and I like to think that our space proves just that.

And there you have it... the cozy little lodge that has wiggled its way into the hearts of the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Matkovich. Although, we have made a lot of progress over the past 9 months, we look forward to continuing to make this space personal... all without breaking the bank!
