The South of France is one spot that I’ve dreamt about since I was little. It’s turquoise seas and easy breezy lifestyle is immediately appealing, and if it’s anything like these photos from Sunshine Charlie, I’m fairly confident that I’ve found my next vacation destination (though, how many times have I said that now? We should probably start taking count). For more french sunshine and beautiful beaches, head over to the gallery.

From Nicole… We spend three weeks traveling all over France as a honeymoon before our wedding. I had a wedding in the South of France and our wedding is at the end of August so we thought we would enjoy each other and spend our time in France as our honeymoon.

We traveled to Paris, the South of France, Nice, and St. Tropez. St. Tropez is a small fishing village on the Riviera. It is now home to and a vacation destination to many celebrities and locals alike. St. Tropez has always been on my list to someday see. It’s very french chic with the Mediterranean. How could you go wrong?

Some things to note:

Places to stay:
Hotel De Lices was my favorite. It is family ran and oh so charming. It was one of the first hotels in the village. Many famous celebrities have stayed there including the one and only Brigitte Bardot.
Another cool place is Pastis Hotel St Tropez. It was also very French.
Hotel Sezz for a more modern feel
Places to shop: There is not a shortage of fabulous boutique and huge designer shopping in this village.
The Christian Dior mansion is a must see. It is incredible.
ERES is a super chic shop that carries the most beautiful swim suits and it’s a must see.
Another beautiful boutique was K Jacques. They make these beautiful handmade sandals.
All the shops near the port are great for beach shopping.  One absolute must doesn’t even have a sign. It’s an emerald green bikini shop on the corner. You can’t miss it.
L’ Escale was the best seafood, people watching, atmosphere in St Tropez. It is super pricey but well worth the trip.
Bistro Canaille is another great find. Tapas and great wine are their speciality. Owners Lili and Jean-Francoise are welcoming and love to speak English.
Le Sporting was constantly packed like any good Brasserie. Best spot to bask in the sun behind your sunnies on the open patio.
A must see:
Plages de Pampelonne White sand, crystal clear water, many spots to get a chair and umbrella to compliment your apertif, beach food at Cap 21 and you are golden.
