To be perfectly honest, this little get together all started with an intense desire to learn how to make my own tortillas. You know, the soft, thick, slathered in butter delicious tortillas that you get in restaurants. After about three tries, I finally perfected the tortilla, which was literally begging for some fresh guacamole, of which I make a damn good one. I’m from Texas y’all. It’s like a prerequisite. So then came the pulled pork and well, like a full on slippery slope, our Mexican inspired Al Fresco dinner was born. Papel picado everythings. Bright pops of pretty color. A table that was both festive and elegant, both sweet and sophisticated.
