Did you know that you could make ranch dressing from scratch? Because I certainly did not. I mean, not until recently that is. And I kind of feel as if I’ve been missing out on something glorious! This recipe, slightly fancified with the addition of buttermilk (because that’s just how we roll around here), is all sorts of tasty. And upon this discovery, with you as my witness, never again will the store bought variety find it’s way into this household!
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup italian flat-leaf parsley, finely diced
2 tbsp fresh chives, finely diced
1/4 tsp dried dill
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1/4 – 1/2 cup buttermilk
dash of worcestershire sauce
additional salt, to taste
2. Mix all ingredients together until it tastes juuuuuust right.
3. Seriously, that’s it.
Note: Add more buttermilk for a thinner dressing, less for a dip-like consistency.
