I’m not going to lie to you, oysters are a bit of an acquired taste. But once they’ve been acquired, there’s seriously no turning back. They immediately enhance any and all events – adding that extra bit of fancy that every party craves. Lucky for us, the sweet Chandara is here with us today sharing one of her favourite warm-weather activities – and it just so happens to involve these fabulous little treats. See more right here!

From Chandara Creative… Just 1.5 hours way from San Francisco and a short drive from the famous Pt. Reyes Station lies a pristine body of water known as Tomales Bay, home to the freshest little briny friends you’ll ever shuck and slurp. Whenever I have friends in town, this is my special spot to entertain. Bring a shucker, pluck some lemons, pack up your favorite hot sauce or mignonette along with a chilled bottle of sauvignon blanc, and head out for a gorgeous day along the bay.

Always, always serve your oysters chilled.  The freshest oysters taste just like the sea… a little briny, but never fishy…and oh, always follow it with a sip of wine!  I think it’s a must!
