The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is kind of like a blogger haven. It simply oozes that easy breezy, not-trying-too-hard cool factor that you just can’t fake. Not having had the opportunity thus far to see it for myself, I’m glad we have talented folks like Anais + Dax who can bring us along virtually. Check out the rest of the gallery! You can almost feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.
From Anais… The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is our favorite mini escape. It’s only an hour and a half drive from from Los Angeles, which makes for the perfect weekend trip. It’s also warm year round, so we can head there anytime! We both adore the modern take on the mid-century modern style of the hotel, with a little desert bohemian twist. The pool has great music, fabulous DJ’s and makes for the most perfect place for sunbathing, cocktails and people watching. Our favorite rooms are the ones with a private patio and firepit, a perfect little haven away from the other hotel guests. We’re obsessed with the breakfast at the King’s Highway diner and if we’re lucky enough to be there on a Monday night, we get to participate in bingo night! Organized by Linda Gerard, she serenades and entertains the participants and there’s always some Ace Hotel swag for the winners. The Ace is almost our second home.
The road trip from Los Angeles to Palm Springs is a whole experience in itself. We always stop for ice cream or a snack by the dinosaurs in Cabazon. Once we start seeing the windmills covering the surrounding mountains, we know we’re close. For those days that we’re feeling extra adventurous, we head to the Salton sea, one of the worlds largest inland seas (seriously worth the drive).
