Sarah True is sort of like family. Here at SMP we’ve known her and loved her for as long as we’ve had this blog. She’s charming. She’s lovely. She’s got more talent in her pinky finger than most of us have in our whole world. And she’s made to be a mommy. Of the very best kind. So we were all a flutter when Sarah sent us pictures of her sweet nursery and even sweeter baby boy. With images from the lovely Leila Brewster, this space is inspiration to the nines, filled with “oh my gosh” moments that you’ll most certainly want to steal. Click here for so much more.
From Sarah at True Event…When I found out I was having a boy I was completely shocked! I was convinced that this child was going to be a girl and called him a her for months on end. I had always envisioned what it would be like to have a girl, and decorating the nursery just seemed so easy. So when I was faced with the challenge of designing it for a little boy I had to start at square one. A room full of interesting things to explore and look at, that had color but not too much, and a space that I enjoyed as much as he would was crucial. I knew full well that there would be many nights spent rocking or reading in the corner with my little guy. Inspired by all things zebra, I decided on a “modern” safari theme. I brought in a ton of different patterns, prints and textures. including zebras, elephants, faux fur and wood.
