It happens like clockwork. Early April and I'm suddenly hit with that undeniable urge to clean-all-of-the-things. My windows beg to be flung open, my kitchen scrubbed down, my linen closet pulled apart (just to be put back in a neat and orderly fashion)... I don't think I'm alone here which is why I'm particularly excited about this fabulous DIY. Homemade linen spray is actually ridiculously easy to make yourself, and will instantly add a heavenly scent of your choosing to any spring cleaning fiestas you've got planned this season. Lavender, rose, or jasmine essential oils
Download the label templates and print out on the Avery sticker paper. Trim the labels to fit the length of the bottle (we trimmed ours to 3") and apply to the front of the bottle.
To make one 8oz bottle of linen spray, pour 3 oz of the alcohol into a small bowl. Add 30 drops of the essential oil of choice and mix thoroughly- it is important to mix these two first as the oil will mix with the alcohol, but not the water. Add 1.5 cups of distilled water and stir together. Use the funnel to pour the mixture into the plastic bottle.
Trim the stem of the spray cap to fit inside the plastic bottle and screw onto the bottle. Be sure to shake up the bottle before spraying your sheets!
