I met Anne at the same time that I met Bryce. In Mexico at Jose Villa’s photography workshop. And you could tell that there were sparks even then. Between all of us really. I loved Anne’s hair and Bryce‘s smile. They loved that they both lived in New York and were shooting film and making a name in this crazy world of photography. That was a little more than a year ago and at the time, Anne was pregnant with her second baby. I had just had mine. So when I saw these pictures that Bryce snapped of Anne a few months later, I literally beamed from ear to ear. Click here to see so much more.
From Anne…When I decided to have a pregnancy shoot, I knew I wanted images that captured more than the shape of my body. I wanted images that spoke to the emotion and sweet anticipation of pregnancy, images that reflected the miracle of having a life develop and grow inside of you. I regret that this was an opportunity I missed with the birth of my first little girl, Eden, and I didn’t want to miss my chance again. As a photographer myself, I knew that what I wanted was a photographer who understood not only the nuances of light but also of emotion. Bryce immediately came to mind.
Bryce is a good friend and someone I feel extremely comfortable with. As we collaborated, we liked the idea of combining new life with old beauty. The Brooklyn Bridge and Central Park were both personal favorites and obvious choices.
As you may have guessed, I am in love with these photos. I love them because I relive the love, excitement, and anticipation I felt as I first nurtured and protected my sweet little Lottie for those 9 months. At times it feels like a dream to think I was ever pregnant. Bryce’s pictures do little to shake that feeling.
And baby makes four. The prettiest, sweetest, most adorable four you’ve ever seen in your life and we couldn’t be more thrilled for this lovely family…
