Finally! Here it is, Ruth & Maya‘s Oscar party in all its glory! Now that we’ve shared their incredibly quick & easy DIY’s and the menu for this bright and sunny fete, you should feel fully equipped to tackle your own Oscars party. Decked to the nines in all things Miami and Art Deco-inspired, you and your guests are more or less guaranteed to have a fabulous time in style. Per usual, the gallery musn’t be missed!

From Maya of Poppy Love Weddings… Every year in February, the Oscars thrill us with show stopping glamour, fashion & grace. Our favorite movies & screen stars are honored as we get a small glimpse into the world of the Hollywood elite. Plus, who can resist the red carpet parade of beautiful designer gowns? Surely, not I.
Throwing an Oscar Party is a wonderful way to chase away the winter doldrums and infuse your home with old Hollywood decadence & style. I chose to have this year’s theme reflect the glamour of bygone days, with a rich color palate, lush details & glittering touches throughout. And since I’ve been longing for the warm sunbaked days of summer, I chose to feature a Cuban themed menu that would transport my guests to Art Deco (and sun drenched) Miami for a few hours.
The table was dressed with a vivid green emerald linen with a black striped runner and adorned with vibrantly colored details like the gorgeous pink garden roses, mandarin oranges & mini banana bunches. Gold glittered d.i.y. toothpick starbursts where placed throughout for a healthy dose of sparkle. The food spread consisted of mini Cuban sandwiches, fresh ceviche, plantain chips, chilled gazpacho, and pulled pork with polenta. To help wash it all down guests where offered refreshing champagne mojitos.
Chelsey crafted the most adorable printable Oscar Ballot game that guests could fill in with their predictions before the start of the show. Once the results are in, the voting will be tallied and the winner will walk away with the party flowers and a bottle of 10 Cane rum!
We hope you’ll be inspired to shake off old man winter in favor of a tropical Oscar Soirée. Cheers to another glamorous award season!
