I’m a Texas girl. Through and through. And while at dinner with a friend who had recently moved to Texas, I realized that my Texas and the Texas that people might think about when they hear the state mentioned, are two entirely different places. The Texas that I love is made of gorgeous, locally grown food. And perfect sunsets. And al fresco everything. It’s warm and inviting and welcoming and this shoot by our great friends –  photographer Ryan Ray, stylist Lavender Joy Weddings and floral designer, Bows + Arrows - is just that. From Ryan Ray Photography… You can’t help but get swept back to a simpler time with all the fresh details of this nostalgic and chic farm to table concept captured at the sweetest of Texas venues. Thistle Springs Ranch has a wonderfully simple and sanguine atmosphere, and the moody elegance of the unusual florals, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and perfectly worn finishes come together so naturally in this design.

Rich colors like oxblood and berry reds interlace throughout the floral design and savory desserts, yet delicate feminine touches graced every last detail. Antique butter molds were used to display butter flavors on a simple spread of freshly made bread and homemade flavorful butters.

Fresh fruits and vegetables create a simple and striking display for guests to find their table assignments. An assortment of fruit-filled sweets including fig tarts and chocolate cherry tartlets are the sweetest of finishing touches. The subdued elements in the design of this fresh and elegant concept evoke the feelings of genuine comfort and relaxation – the perfect atmosphere for a personal and intimate celebration of love and marriage!
