We love Fall.  That pretty much goes without saying.  And now that the lovely month of October is officially upon us, we can’t wait to pull out those cozy sweaters, warm up that hot chocolate and take long walks through a canopy of changing leaves.  (Magical.)  In fact, we love Fall so much that we couldn’t resist celebrating with a little something extra special, aka, a dazzling Fall-inspired recipe contest courtesy of SMP at Home.  Think your favorite Fall goodies, pretty images to match and a whole lot of yummy.  This is going to be soooo fun.

Yep, that’s right.  We want to hear all about your fave Fall recipes… and we want to see that yumminess in its full glory.  I’m talking fab drool-inducing photos straight from your kitchen to ours.  Not an expert photog?  No worries.  We’ve compiled a list of easy peasy tips on capturing that food magic with any kind of camera, iPhone included.  Did I mention this was going to be fun?!?

CONTEST: Best Fall Inspired Recipe… from signature cocktails to tasty sweets (and everything in between), this is about you and what makes you the happiest now that the leaves are turning and the air is crisp.

SUBMISSIONS: All submissions should be received by Friday, October 5th at midnight EST. We are only accepting entries through our submissions tool which you can find right here. Emailed submissions won’t be accepted for now. Please title all posts RECIPE CONTEST. Our submissions server requires 15 submissions. Feel free to include step-by-step shots or if you don’t have enough, not to worry, we’ll still get it as long as it’s titled RECIPE CONTEST.

PHOTOGRAPHY: We wanted to mention photography for a moment. The best submissions are those that are photographed in a clean, simple way that allows the food/drink to take center stage. While the photography that we normally feature on the site is done by pro’s, there are a few simple ways to make any photo sparkle using an iphone or a simple point and shoot camera.
