Confession: The ladies of SMP like to toast to a thing or two. It’s true. And we will most definitely raise our glasses to this pretty al fresco party complete with delicious drinks. It’s what summer dreams are made of, topped off with a recipe you can store away for your next soiree. Does it get any better?
Mint Julep Recipe
4 fresh mint sprigs
2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
1 tsp powdered sugar
2 tsp water
Muddle mint leaves, powdered sugar, and water in a collins glass. Fill the glass with shaved or crushed ice and add bourbon. Top with more ice and garnish with a mint sprig.
Now that we have the proper libations, it’s time to get this pretty party started. To me, there is nothing better than a casual summer soiree al fresco style. Seriously – nothing better. And this one? It’s one I wish I pulled an invite for!
