From our very first steps to our walk down the aisle, our Dads have guided us through so many special moments. And with Father’s Day right around the corner, our friends over at Mason Jar Films put together THE sweetest film celebrating those amazing men in our lives. Fair warning, it’s a tear jerker! Share your story by using the hashtag #MomentWithDad
From Mason Jar Films… Weddings are special for the bride and groom, but they are also a huge life event for fathers, too. At a recent wedding, the father of the bride remarked during a toast that once his daughter arrived in his life, there was so much joy that it was “like Christmas morning every morning.”
So often it seems that dads arrive at their child’s wedding unable to wipe the grin off of their faces and the tears from their eyes. These men who cradled you, taught you to ride a bike, tell a joke, to change a flat tire, and to love life are suddenly caught up in this whirlwind of a party that celebrates not only your life’s greatest relationship, but also celebrates your future. Whether it is during the moment that the father of the groom beams with pride as he toasts to the strong character of his son, or as the father of the bride sees his daughter in her dress for the first time, you must remember this very fact: your father who has loved you since your small hand wrapped around his thumb. is now watching you, now grown, but always his child, embark on one of life’s greatest adventures.
Over the past decade, our work as documentarians creating wedding videos has allowed us many glimpses into the lives of these strong family leaders. To celebrate fathers and the years they have spent protecting, guiding, and encouraging their children, we have crafted this special video with all of our favorite moments—touching, funny, and always sincere.
Tell me, who is best at encouraging you to follow your dreams? Who will calm you down when you are anxious? Who will save you from the wasp that gets caught in your wedding dress? Dad to the rescue, every time, because you have made his life like Christmas morning every morning.
Join us today in honoring your father by sharing your favorite “Moment With Dad” story in the comments section below or by posting your anecdote on social media and hashtagging #MomentWithDad. We look forward to hearing how you celebrate the men who have poured out their heart on your behalf in order that you may be the person you are today.
