This wedding, it’s home to me. It’s all sweet embraces, belly-laughing, heartwarming moments of conversation and dancing, oh the dancing. It’s everything a wedding should be at it’s core. With Infinity Weddings And Events® behind so many lovely details and Daniele Vertelli and Andrea Corsi capturing every touching moment, this gallery might just make your heart burst.
From Infinity Weddings And Events®… This amazing lovely couple from the UK chose Italy for their Wedding and exactly the stunning Tuscany, known for its natural beauty, warm friendly atmosphere and great food, and those three elements were all in the Wedding Day too! They shared a little bit of their beautiful love story with us, from their first meet to the unforgettable Destination Wedding in Italy… “We met At Glastonbury whilst watching Paul McCartney but only got together a few years later when Alex arrived at Neil’s house for a party without realising it was the same person she had seen at Glastonbury all those years ago!”.
They soon understood that there was “something special” between them and after the proposal (“ Neil proposed in the kitchen! It wasn’t very romantic but I wouldn’t change it for the world”) and three years of engagement, they got married in Italy last August. The couple celebrated the civil ceremony in the enchanting little medieval town of San Miniato, in the beautiful “Sala delle Sette Virtù”, a room enriched with stunning medieval frescoes: both funny and touching, this celebration was really unforgettable! When asking about their most memorable moments…
Neil: “Most memorable moment was definitely Alex arriving!”
Alex: “I loved driving to the ceremony with my dad in an open top Alfa Romeo then seeing my two handsome sons, Lewis (18yrs) and Liam (16yrs) waiting for me with my gorgeous baby girls, it filled me with so much joy. Then walking in to the room and seeing Neil looking at me just made this part of the day complete.”
After that, they had their wedding reception in the beautiful Villa Bucciano which with its Renaissance Villa, stunning terrace with breathless view on the Tuscan Countryside and lovely Italian garden, offered a perfect frame for this special day. Asked about how they chose their venue, they reply: “Recommendation from Infinity Weddings and Events®. We then visited Italy to view a number of options and loved Villa Bucciano straight away not just because of the amazing setting but the warm welcome from Alberto and his family.”
The Wedding colours were white and blue, perfectly represented by the bridesmaids and flower girls. Talking about them, Alex says: “I had my four best friends as my adult Bridesmaids, Lisa, Zoe, Emma and Helen, they looked stunning in French Blue Jim Hjelm floor length dresses. My three flower girls were dressed in pretty ivory dresses, my oldest niece Ellie (8yrs old) and my daughters Maisie (3yrs) and Mia (1yr). They were wonderful.” And she was wonderful too in her elegant and precious dress, too beautiful to be described… Only photos can speak for her! How did she choose the perfect dress? She says: “After 3 years of searching and looking at hundreds of dresses in magazines and on line there were two designers I liked. When I arrived at Eternity Bridal shop in Cheshire England I was overwhelmed by the choice I had. I tried a few dresses that weren’t right for me but the advisor asked if she could show me two dresses she thought would suit my shape. I was delighted and very quickly knew that the Jenny Packham Ruby was just perfect. My mum and sister in law Sue were with me and they were just as excited as me, I didn’t want to take it off!! I paid a deposit immediately.”
The Reception organized by Infinity Ricevimenti™ was indeed flawless: a rich refined Cocktail Reception in the Villa’s courtyard and then an elegant Wedding Dinner on the terrace, around an imperial table adorned with beautiful white flowers. The Wedding Cake was prepared in front of the guests and Bride&Groom enjoyed this moment surrounded by their daughters and sons and believe us, only one word came to our minds watching them all living this special day together: Love.
The romance went on with the touching first dance. “Our first dance song was ‘She is so Beautiful’ By Mike Scott of the Waterboys. Neil played it to me not long after we had got engaged and said he always thought of me when he heard it. I cried and he said he would love it to be our wedding song. This definitely was the most romantic moment I will remember (a lot better than his proposal!!)”. The Party went on with the fantastic Live Band Groovin’ Funk – Sessa and the Band and frenetic and funny dances in the Villa’s rooms and the day concluded with the magic Sky Lanterns’ moment: all the guests around the pool, lanterns flying in the sky symbolizing good things and happiness to the newlyweds… and a night’s dive for the reckless ones!
What was the favorite part of the Wedding day for the couple? They tell us:
Alex: “All of it! Being with all my friends and family in such a beautiful and relaxed place. If I could turn back time I would do it all again and wouldn’t change a thing.”
Neil: “Everything. I really wanted to have all of our friends and family together in a very relaxed place with good food, wine and music. Because of Infinity Weddings and villa Bucciano we achieved this and more. The sun shone and the children played into the night. It was perfect. I would love to re-live it again.
The Staff and Villa Bucciano made the Wedding special we felt like we were very welcome guests in their home. Mama Carla, Silvia and Alberto all looked after us from morning to night, there wasn’t any request that was too much trouble for them. All of our guests commented on the both the place and the people. There were a few funny moments during the day but the one that still makes me giggle is when Sarah, one of our friends was determined to catch the bouquet, lost her balance and landed head first in a bush but still managed to keep hold of the flowers. The best choice we made was having the wedding planned from the very beginning by Barbara, she took all the stress out of everything. Her wonderful way of working through each “chapter” made it simple and thorough, leaving everything perfect and organised. She made sure we had nothing to do on the day apart from relax and enjoy ourselves.
