Asheville Event Co. is behind some of my very favorite weddings ever. They layer love with style in a way that is unparalleled and this wedding might just be my all time favorite of their weddings. Ever. Caroline Ghetes captured the Lonesome Valley wedding and you’re about to see why it’s my favorite!
From the planner… Ida + Clay love to drive…They met in high school but it wasn’t until they re-met later in life that the sparks flew. With their affinity for the mountains of Western North Carolina it was appropriate that they find the perfect place to exchange their vows. So…while driving along the windy road from Highlands to Sapphire they just happened to pass Lonesome Valley. They both thought it was the perfect place to celebrate their wedding and they were in luck since Canyon Kitchen had recently begin hosting weddings.
This was a rustic, American/Persian wedding and we loved being a part of it! The Persian ceremony was very unique and touching, and filled with personal touches – handmade pillows, rustic pews. The reception was filled with handmade desserts, carpet coasters and the Persian/American meal that James Beard Nominee Chef Fleer created. At the end of the night the guests danced the night away and roasted s’mores over an open fire.
