I didn’t think Italy could pull at my heartstrings any more than it already has. Enter this wedding from David Bastianoni. The stunning blooms from WedInItaly (who planned the whole gorg day), the tent that opened up to the night sky, the beautiful couple at the center have all put a smile on my face. A bigger smile than anyone should have on a Tuesday.
From the floral designer… The wedding took place in the countryside in the north of Rome last May. The venue was picked after having visited the most stunning destination with the couple the previous September and chosen because of its spectacular outdoors and vicinity with the city. The couple, who prefers not to be mentioned in the post (the Groom is a famous pianist in his country) had guests attending from Dubai, Lebanon, UK, US and Australia.
Since the beginning was clear that the bride wanted to achieve a spectacular event but keeping all very simple and with that sense of effortless that is behind every chic wedding. We worked along with our suppliers, in particular with the fantastic Antonio Occhiuzzi at California Catering Rome to design and create a wedding that at the same time was rustic elegant and stylish. Every details was carefully designed, from the lace tablecloth for the buffet to the gorgeous wedding cake by Angela Mazzucco. Especially the design of the marquee and its illumination kept us quite busy for few days but the result was magnificent !
Guests were welcomed for the welcome drinks around 5 pm immediately followed by the civil ceremony. After that we served a traditional Italian aperitif session with different station, including a Pizza station attended by a real pizzaman baking pizzas in the wood-fired oven. Dinner was served in the Galoppatoio that bride and groom reached accompanied by the joyful notes and dances of a folkloristic local band. After dinner party went on until 4 am !
