From the planner… This fairy tale wedding in Certaldo Tuscany was the fusion of many cultures and traditions. Ben and Sara are both Australians living in Brisbane and decided to fly to Italy with their families and friend to get married in Tuscany. Ben’s family has Polish origins and brought some their traditions to the ceremony such as breaking the glass at the end of the ceremony and the usage of the chuppah. Sara has Persian origins which were reflected in the Persian Wedding Spread prepared by her sisters and mum and several other touches.
The legal ceremony took place in one of the most amazing castles in Tuscany: The Castle of Oliveto, then the bridal party moved to the medieval city of Certaldo to take some pictures and video and rejoined the whole group of guests at the Villa they had rented for their two weeks stay the Villa Belsole, on top of a hill overlooking the most pure Tuscan and Chianti countryside. The theme colour was pink for flowers and blue for dresses and details. Special mention to the socks + shoes and shoulders strap of the groom and best men. After a whole year of planning with 9 hours time difference we are so proud of the result we achieved for this wedding, a melting pot of cultures, traditions and the most pure love!
