Anytime an engagement sesh involves cupcakes, we’re totally on board. But when we’re talking about Chicago’s famed Molly’s Cupcakes? Things just got taken to a whole new level. It’s exactly how these sweet toothed loveies set out to celebrate, and Heather Cook Elliott caught every last bit. Click here for even more!
From Heather Cook Elliott… By their own description Andrea & Jon have lived in just about every neighborhood in or around downtown Chicago. In their search for the perfect apartment and commute they have fallen in love with a few spots, including Molly’s Cupcakes in Lincoln Park, the beach in Old Town and the iconic bridges of River North. On an early fall day I met them in their city and we started our tour of their favorite places with the most tasty and creative cupcakes I’ve ever tasted. (And being a wedding photographer these days I’ve tasted a lot of cupcakes!)
I tried a cheesecake cupcake and Jon and Andrea happily defaulted to their usuals: a cookie monster (cookie dough) for him and red velvet for her. No matter the flavor each one is made to melt in the mouth and I loved watching how easily Andrea & Jon melted into each other as if they were the only people in the world. They are playful and sweet and totally generous with one another and in the end I think this session captures the two of them perfectly. They are both physical therapists, but working in different sectors of the field, and they have tons of energy while sporting just a bit of fashionista style. I love the oh-so-stylish effortlessness of this session and really, of them.
