If I had seen the picture of the groom helping his bride into her wedding gown before my big day, I would have thrown away any plans I had made for my wedding, booked a flight to Chicago, called up Anni Cee and tied the knot right then and there on Lake Michigan. It’s the most romantic image I’ve ever come across, and the day that followed is perfect.
From the photographer… Carmen was the epitome of a well-heeled (and well-frocked!) bride for her chic city elopement with Harry. They started the day in style at Chicago’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel (I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything as romantic as Harry taking in the sight of Carmen in her wedding dress for the first time as he helped her into it.) They had a small lakefront ceremony outside of the Adler Planetarium, with Chicago’s skyline in the background, and made a quick stop on top of the world – the Sears Tower Skydeck – as their first adventure as husband and wife.
