It’s no surprise that we love us a traditional, ballroom wedding around these parts. And when they are fun, colorful, and photographed by Cristina G Photography, well, that just makes us love them even more! We’re loving the bold blue bridesmaid dresses and how they pop against the backdrop of vibrant florals and how they complement the oh-so-pretty touches of gold. Click here for even more!

From Cristina of Cristina G PhotographyThe bride hoped for a fresh take on a late fall wedding — a burst of color and a multitude of flowers in pink, orange, blue, and creamy whites in an elegant but contemporary loft venue in Arlington Heights. She wanted it to look like a downtown Chicago wedding in the heart of the northwest suburbs. Hand-crafted fresh flower six-foot tall topiaries in all the colors of her bouquet made up the altar for the beautiful exposed wood beam loft ceremony. The place cards and invitations were a DIY project the bride undertook with the help of her bridesmaids. The place card holders featured round white birch bases, freshly-picked pine cones and a pop of color from a tiny red paper leaf — the perfect handcrafted support for the elegant and simple off-white cards. The elegant dress was an ivory organza tufted ball gown by Lazaro with a sweetheart neckline, sheer jewel-encrusted bodice with platinum silk satin ribbon at the waist and chapel train.
