From Olivia of Olivia Leigh Photographie… This wedding was a delightful little fall celebration. Alex and Katy are high school sweethearts and just had the sweetest energy between them all day! They were married downtown at Holy Name, a stunning Chicago church, and had a reception to follow at the Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago. In between the ceremony and reception, the wedding party all enjoyed a few drinks at a local pub, The Gage, which was a fun breather! Tables were places that held meaning for their relationship, including favorite restaurants, sports venues and, of course, a high school chemistry class where their love first blossomed. Alex wrote the clever descriptions for each table and the front had a beautiful custom illustration. The clean and simple decor echoed the lines of Terzo Piano, the modern restaurant at the museum where they were married, with greys and yellows serving as the key colors for this celebration. It was a stunning day, and such a beautiful wedding that really ticked all the boxes while still being understated.
