From the Bride…Jeff and I live in Chicago. It’s also the place we got engaged and where we will be getting married next spring. So, when it came time to take our engagement photos, we immediately knew that we wanted to capture our love in the city that means so much to us. Since our wedding next April will be taking place downtown, we knew that we would be getting a lot of images near and around some of the more recognizable Chicago landmarks. So, for our engagement session, our goal was to incorporate some of the city’s lesser-known, and far more rustic, venues.
Jeff and I love kayaking and being outdoors, so it was important for us to integrate that somehow into our photos. Luckily, the Lincoln Park Boat House turned out to be both visually stunning and very welcoming toward us! Our wonderful and creative photographer Michael Rastall helped make the entire experience truly memorable and we cannot wait to work with him again at our wedding!

The Lincoln Park Boat House is a lovely spot for an engagement shoot. Fans of animals (we are!) should also check out the nearby Lincoln Park Zoo.
