Neutral + Elegant Sea Island Wedding

I’m pretty sure that if I were a guest at this wedding, you would have seen my eyes grow wider and my smile brighter at every turn. For starters, Sea Island has gorgeous written all over it, and served as the perfect canvas for this elegant duo‘s nuptials. With classically neutral details like these bow-adorned heels and invites from Bella Figura, there were plenty of beautiful bits for Amy Arrington to steal with her lens—see it all here in the full gallery!

From The Bride…We wanted our wedding to be elegant and simple with a touch of rustic charm. For the ceremony, classic neutral colors were selected and we used lots of texture for the flowers and bridesmaids dresses. We hung chandeliers from the trees (easily my favorite part of the ceremony design) to compliment the space and give it an intimate, romantic feel. We wanted the reception space to again be simple but also fun. We used the same neutrals from the ceremony but highlighted them with pops of bright pink color and fun rustic votives and candles. In keeping with the rustic theme, we used both square and round tables of different sizes and covered them with gold and brown table cloths, again with texture and pattern. The best part of the reception design were the beautiful branch overhangs that were built over the larger estate tables. We hung small candles from the branches and my goal was for these tables to give the room a slight “outdoor under the stars” appeal. My husband and I were blown away by what an amazing job everyone did in executing the entire design. We are so grateful to everyone who made the event so much fun and such a success!

From Easton EventsAfter seeing a Sea Island ad in a magazine, Whitney’s mother planned the first family vacation to Sea Island when Whitney was a little girl. The family fell in love with Sea Island and returned year after year. One of Whitney’s favorite memories is swinging with her father on the tree swing in the Cloister garden. Naturally, Sea Island was a sentimental wedding location for Whitney and Trey.

Whitney and Trey were a dream couple to work with! Their vision was clear and their relationship was rock solid. Together we created an environment that married eclectic elegance with the traditional glamour of Sea Island. We intentionally incorporated some subtle masculine elements like farm tables, zinc top tables, and neutral tones with the feminine romance of full-bloomed summer florals and tons of candle light.

Celebrating friends and family was at the heart of their wedding, and because of that, we decided to serve a wonderful all-embracing family-style dinner. Guests were welcomed to their seats with an abundant cheese and charcuterie board and later indulged in platters of local favorites. We embraced this farm to table element with our escort card display of the seasons best – cherries and peaches!

The tent design was intentionally neutral and breezy –creating a feeling of relaxed elegance. We dimmed the lights soft and low to create the perfect atmosphere for seaside dancing!

From Alea MooreA lovely wedding that took place on the banks of Georgia’s gorgeous coastline. The groom has spent his summers on Sea Island, where their love for this coastal town began! They decided to hold their wedding at Cottege 425, which is a treasured tradition for Sea Island visitors and a perfect way for guests to get a glimpse of Sea Island Living. The bride along with Caroline Carter Events put together a coastal inspired elegant affair that will have you swooning from the wooden chandeliers to the rattan chairs to the custom designed menus and place cards. Lovely florals to accompany the brides choice of navy and pink bridesmaids dresses and even a grooms cake created to look like a golf bag after the grooms favorite past time make this wedding one of all its own. And my favorite part, this adorable couple made my heart full with how much they loved each other and how gracious and welcoming they are to all their family and friends. It was such a wonderful day full of beautiful moments!
