From Buffy Dekmar PhotograpahyNatalie and Will’s wedding was a traditional southern celebration, with an added air of modern elegance, complete with thoughtful details and family connections that tied the day together with meaningfulness throughout. Their ceremony was beautifully tender, held inside the grand sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, where Natalie grew up. The reception followed at Del’Avant, a charmingly classic ballroom venue in downtown LaGrange, Georgia.

Subtle pinks and ivory hues with touches of gold gave a sweetly feminine feel, perfectly complemented by the lace detailing on Natalie’s Anne Barge bridal gown. The bridesmaids wore blush Alfred Sung dresses, and carried a fresh mixture of garden roses, hydrangea, and seeded eucalyptus. Groomsmen in black tuxedos rounded out the classic, traditional style.

The reception was characterized by exceptionally creative and delicious appetizers and food stations, invented and prepared by Jamie Keating Culinary. From the gold Chiavari chairs to the scotch bar on the mezzanine, the details were seamlessly and elegantly executed by Eva of Belle of the Ball Events. Band of Gold provided outstanding entertainment, and the honest celebration that came with the night proved worthy of every detail!

Bellevue Mansion Engagement Session from Buffy Dekmar Photography

I love the rain.  I love the wonderful smell, the cozy feel and the downright romantic vibe it brings to each and every moment it touches.  Moments like the ones filling this mesmerizing engagement session captured beautifully by Buffy Dekmar Photography, a true Georgian day featuring one seriously lovely duo and image after image of pure pretty.  See it all in the full gallery.

From Buffy Dekmar Photography… Mallory and Ross are from Texas, but a big part of their engagement has been spent in Georgia, where Ross is in officer’s training at Fort Benning. The couple wanted a quintessential Georgia backdrop for their engagement photos, so we chose the antebellum Bellevue Mansion and the pine grove at Hills and Dales Estate. Afterall, there isn’t much that is more “Georgia” than pine trees, magnolias, and Civil War history.

Mallory was in town for just one day, so we were a little bit discouraged to see big gray clouds looming on the way to their session. The clouds stayed, and the rain came and went, but the couple’s cheerfulness never wavered. I was reminded that when you’re young and madly in love (slippery sidewalks aside), inclement weather can only add romance to the equation.
