These college sweethearts kept their St. Simon’s wedding understated and simple to showcase the beautiful details of their church and reception venue, the Frederica Boat House, both of which were designed by the bride’s architect cousin! From Kelli Boyd Photography… Leigh Ann and Tommy met in college through mutual friends attending Auburn University. They attended a formal together, and they have not been apart since. With both of them having strong roots in St Simons Island, Georgia, they could not think of a better place to get married. They chose Wesley Methodist Church for the ceremony and the Frederica Boat House for their reception because the bride’s cousin, Keith Summerour, an architect, designed both buildings and that the groom’s grandfather helped get Wesley started years ago. They wanted the decor to be simple to show off the beauty of the buildings.
