Good morning Georgia-brides-to-be! Welcome back to what promises to be another fabulous week here at SMP Georgia. Kicking things off is this pretty purple and yellow fete captured beautifully by Light Love Laughter Photography. We’re loving the fun, laid back feel of this day and are literally drooling over the brides gorgeous dress! Oh, and the fact that the bride married her best friend’s brother? Well, we think that’s really cool too! What could be better than becoming sisters with your BFF and marrying the love of your life? Click here for even more!

From Light Love Laughter Photography…Whitney met Danielle in college and they became fast friends and eventually were the best of friends… little did Whitney know Danielle’s brother would be her future husband…making them sisters (in-law)! Danielle invited Whitney over for her family’s game night and that’s when she met Ryan, she didn’t really pay too much attention at first. I mean how was dating her best friend’s brother not SUPER awkward!? Eventually Whitney found herself at Danielle’s house…but not to hang out with her but to spend time with her brother. They moved past the “awkward” stage and it wasn’t long before things became pretty serious and they started talking about their future together and involving each other. Their wedding was the hottest day of the summer, the very last day of July but it couldn’t have been more beautiful! Their love runs deep and their giddy with excitement for their future together.

I love the bride's headpiece that wraps around her head! Any info on where it came from?
Who is the designer of the dress? So pretty!
@Jesse The headpiece was actually made from the shawl of her dress by her hair artist!
@Kelly I will find out the designer but I do know that it was altered so that it would have the sweetheart neckline by a seamstress. (Yes she was a very brave bride!) :)
Beautiful wedding! I love the blue bridesmaid dress! Can you please share the designer? Thank you and congratulations! :)
Where are the shoes from? I love them!
i think the dress is a casablanca. nr. 1900
she looks like out of pride and prejudice, so lovely
Thank you so much everyone for you kind words! :) Tessa did an amazing job on the photos and really captured all of our special moments.
To answer some of the questions:
I bought my dress from Anya Bridal (not sure about the designer but it does look very similar to the casablanca 1900 mentioned above) and had it beautifully altered by Clara Kim at Clara's Wedding and Alteration in Atlanta. She totally transformed it into a unique dress that looked and felt like it was made for me. She took in the entire top (from the waist up), took up the hem, and made the neckline into a sweetheart. It was everything I wanted and more!
My purple shoes i found for under $20 on the clearance rack of Off Broadway Shoes in Marietta. Never underestimate what you can find on clearance! :)
Danielle, my MOH, is wearing the one shoulder dress. She purchased it from JC Penny. I'm not sure who the designer was though.
Tessa is right. My hair artist did make my headpiece and it was crafted from pieces of my dress's lace shawl. She even went so far as to stitch our wedding date into the back of the headpiece in blue thread -- so special and so well made! She is an amazing hair stylist as well. I have trusted her with my hair for 7 years and was so thrilled that she could style my wedding. The headpiece was an added bonus and really brought another special touch to the wedding.
Thank you again for the sweet comments!
