Every wedding is special but for this bride and this groom, who returned from Afghanistan one month before marrying his beloved, the wedding day must have been really spectacular.  How’s that for major heart string pulling?  You know what else gets my insides all melty?  Extraordinary photography by Laura Leslie Photography, luscious florals and perfect, elegantly natural details. From Laura Leslie PhotographyWesley and Jaimee were married on July 30th 2011 in Augusta, GA in a Greek Orthodox Ceremony. Wesley is a military captain and he returned from Afghanistan one month before the wedding. They exited the ceremony through swords in an effort to mimic photos from her grandparents wedding.

We drove across the border to South Carolina for wedding party and first sight bride and groom shots on a horse farm. Jaimee and Wesley had 18 members in the wedding party. Four of the guys were captains in the military. Go team 18 wedding party!

Their reception was held at the historical Sacred Heart building in Augusta which used to be a Catholic Church. It had beautiful high ceilings and stained glass windows. It was a day full of natural elements from the ivory and light green flowers to the horse farm but also infused with a formal and a classic feel from the military suits and unique Orthodox ceremony.
