I am getting married in Palm Springs out on the lawn of an estate. Most of our events will be in the grass making a very high heel difficult. Have any of you seen cute, not super high shoes with a thicker heel? Also, I'm wearing an ivory dress and love the idea of colored (hot pink) shoes, but am worried about that looking ok. Any thoughts?

Heather-Style Me Pretty has had SO MANY photos of the fun shoes that brides wear now! I think it would be great to wear hot pink shoes! Today's featured wedding says that the bride purchased her shoes and had them dyed at colorifics.com and then embellished them with pearls. They look super!! I'll bet you can find a thicker-heeled shoe (that can be dyed, that won't sink into the lawn) easily. I say…….go for it! Plus, hot pink shoes will make for great photo-ops!

I dont know how set you are on hot pink but I have a pair of Manolo Blahnik replica heels just like the ones that Carrie wears on her wedding day in the Sex in the City movie if your interested! They are exactly the same & are real leather & satin. Here's a picture

I'm a big fan of have bright colored heels to pair up with the lovely ivory gown you have. It gives the dress personality and spice things up.
Since chunky heels are one of the “IT” shoes these days, shouldn't be hard to find at regular shoes boutiques.
