Hi everyone!
I am new here and would like to see if anyone has done or has any ideas for a Marie Antoinette theme wedding. So far, I have only the “bouquets” to match the theme, fans with flowers, ribbon, and lace designed on them. Any suggestions for centerpiece ideas would be great!
Thanks,
Veronica

I was watching the movie recently and loved how many candles they used, being they had no other light source true, but I would collect various candle holders and just use tons of candles. If you find various finishes you can spray paint them all a singular color and if you have tapers and candleabras and tea lights for high drama. You could also mix in fruit and small clusters and flowers.
You could also mix in cut crystal and glass. You can collect vintage cut glass, from garage sales and goodwill etc etc and make candles in old candy dishes, ashtrays, sherry glasses, footed bowls and have a mix on the tables.
You could also use the candleholders as your favors…
I would watch the movie and the scene when they are dining outdoors where she and Fersen get together would be good inspiration.

I am too doing a Marie Antoinette theme. You can check out my blog at : http://www.weddingbycolor.com/retro248. There are a few girls doing a Marie Antoinette theme on that site. I haven't gotten to flowers yet. Feathers are key, you are on the right track with the fans. I'm going for a very vintage vibe. Gold, crystals are good accents as well. It has been a blast planning so far. I'm just hoping it will all pull together. Happy planning!

Think antiqued gold, pewter, flowers, feathers, tons of candles, and sweeping font styles!
If you haven't ordered your wedding stationary yet, you should definitely check out Wiley Valentine. They have an entirely new Luxe II line just released last month and there is a “Marie Antoinette” collection! The site is definitely worth a look even if just for your inspiration board.
I just ordered my entire wedding stationary line from Wiley Valentine – the gals are super sweet and easy to work with.

I just gave my daughter a Marie Antoinette themed Bridal Shower with the colors of pink and white. Take a look: https:elaineathome.blogspot.com
I hope you find some inspiration and ideas there. It was so much fun.
