Mid-September Wedding–Is it summer or fall?

Hi all,

I'd like to get some feedback and your thoughts on whether a mid-September (the 19th to be exact) wedding should be classified as a summer or fall wedding. The setting is a lodge in a national state park and woodland area.

This question is mostly centered around the color palette. Right now, our main colors are greens (kelly and chartreuse), ivory, and brown. I'd like to add some dashes of color with purple. I'm concerned that the purple is to summer-y. What do you all think about this color palette, specially for September?

I guess it depends where is the wedding taking place, if it's Canada, September is definitely Fall here… if it's somewhere down south in the States where the Sun is always your best friend, you'll probably have no problem pulling a summer wedding at all.

Having a dash of purple (depending on what tone of purple it is), it doesn't necessarily create a summer feeling.  Purple in general usually gives a very romantic feeling to people.

I personally would go for the green, ivory, brown & a dash of purple, as you'd probably want green to be your main color throughout the wedding.

I am getting married on September 12 and in a beach setting however I think its kind of fall by that point.  Our colors are deep purples and lime greens.  I think if you like purple there are so many shades and purple I don't feel is season specific.  The setting you are in sounds more fall-ish to me so I would go with deeper purples or maybe even some reds.
