Hi, I need some advice on wedding day timing…

1. We are having a wedding approx 3 and a half hours drive away from where most guest live. We are paying for 50% overnight accommodation costs, accom is walking distance from the reception for all our guests, only for the night of the wedding. Accomm will only allow check in from 2pm on the day.
2. wedding ceremony venue is a church approx 45min drive from the accomm & reception venue.
3. church service will take approx 1hour to one and a half hours by the time we allow for latecomers/well wishers at the end.
4. We want to allow at least 1 and a half for photos and we will also need 45min travel time to get to reception.
5. reception starts from 6pm (earlier start time because it overlooks the ocean, want guests to enjoy an hour of views over ocean before sunsets at 7.15pm)

What time do I hold the service/ceremony? Is it rude to expect guests to get ready in their own homes before they drive the 3 and a half hours to the service, and check into accommodation AFTER the service/and freshen up before reception to give us enough time to take photos before reception starts?
