From Jen of Honey Lake StudioHaley and Steven met and live in Brooklyn, New York.  However, they wanted to return to Haley’s small-town Florida roots to celebrate their wedding with friends and family!  Every detail of this wedding was DIY and budget friendly — from the handmade ceremony backdrop and the book paper ring garland above the dance floor to the cakes and pies made by family members and served on collected vintage plates. The wedding took place at the FFA Leadership Training Center in Haines City, Florida. Because of its remote location, friends and family were invited to stay in the cabins on site. This allowed for the party to continue late into the night, complete with bonfires and stargazing from the dock. At one point, guests could even look out into the lake and spot an alligator surfacing! How’s that for authentic? It was impossible not to notice the love for the couple from every person in attendance.

From Erin of Papered Heart PhotographyOur couple, Natasha and Cesar, have a love for the rustic outdoors and really wanted a unique experience for their engagement session! And we found the perfect place! Bannon’s Fish Camp in Haines City, Florida. It was an unusually cold day for Florida weather in January — down to 30 degrees that morning! But Natasha and Cesar had a great time anyway, fishing with an heirloom fishing rod and fish basket that we handmade ourselves by attaching a vintage belt to it. They didn’t catch any fish that day, but caught some love that definitely kept them warm! We really enjoyed capturing this fishing date and the love between these two as they nestled up together at the cabin we rented! What a gorgeous day and a beautifully playful couple!
