Tropical + Bohemian Florida Wedding Inspiration

With one of the most beautiful color stories I’ve ever seen, a naturally gorgeous model bride, and a seemingly endless roster of tropical blooms (orchids, ginger, and protea, oh my!), this stunning tropical-hued inspiration shoot from Leah Dorr Photography is going to be one you’ll come back to again and again. Bohemian

From Leah Dorr PhotographyThere’s a softness, an elegance, a peaceful vibe found in a tropical setting; that’s what my vendor team and I wanted to portray! When we came up with the concept of a tropical, bohemian feel to our shoot, we really wanted to push past the typical bright, bold, primary color pallet. We used colors that pulled from mother of pearl, sand, honeydew, sea glass, and star fruit, along with that great sea foam color in the air plants and crisp white and gold accents to create a cool, clean foundation. The tangerine in the dress, ruffles of the cake, and the pop of orchid in the tablescape added a great flirtatiousness while the geometric shapes and metallic touches added an edge. All of this coupled with a messy fish-tail braid and a beautiful B & B as the backdrop made for an event that I myself would love to attend. The shoot had a fresh, airy and bright feel to it! Strongly inspired by the sunny, tropical blossoms of summer, our inspiration for the shoot was bohemian, but still remained elegant and classy.

Ashlee from Simply Roses Florist added an incredible amount of beauty to the shoot with gorgeous blooms! Tilandsia and xerographica plants, anthurium, calathea, queen protea, ranunculus, blushing bride protea, mokara orchids, bamboo shoots, and eremurus made for an exquisite and modern look! The soft and graceful look of the bride’s hair and make up was created by the very talented Noelle from Marjan Salon. The one of a kind ombre dipped dress was created by Erin from RCB Fashion. The gold and ivory pearly hand-crafted jewelry was made by the talented Corinna from Corinna Maggy Designs. The four tiered cake with ombre ruffles was made by Sherri from The Pastry Studio. The leafy invitation suite was made by Brydon from Brydon Paper Designs.

Daytona Beach Shores Wedding from Monika Gauthier Photography

Oh how I adore a beach wedding. And a beach wedding with a bit of chic? Well, that is so up my alley. So this little seaside soiree captured by Monika Gauthier has my name written all over it. Each beautiful image paints the picture of a day that was not only gorgeous, but meaningful – and to me, it doesn’t get better than that. See it all here.

From Monica GauthierIt was a beautifully sunny day with a slight breeze at Daytona Beach Shores Resort & Spa. The guests arrived early for complimentary champagne while a string quartet played softly in the background. At six in the evening, Megan and Marc tied the knot on the resort’s terrace, overlooking the beach, surrounded by 80 of their closest family and friends. They were particularly happy that Marc’s family was able to make the trip from his home country of Poland to share their special moment. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a sunset cocktail hour of light hor devours and live jazz saxophone while the happy couple and their wedding party kicked off their heels and put their toes in the sand for some romantic pictures on the beach.

After dusting off the sugary white sand, the party headed upstairs to the resort’s Atlantic Room which boasts uninterrupted panoramic views of the ocean below. The tablescapes gave a nod to the venue with clusters of white coral, oyster shell votives and barnacle clusters tucked between small arrangements of white flowers in mercury glass. Dinner was then served, and the newly weds danced the night away with their guests.

Megan and Marc’s favorite moment of the whole day would have to be their first look moment. The bride and groom came downstairs on separate elevators, and when the doors opened and peeked their heads around the corner to see each other for the first time on their wedding day as captured by photographer Monika Gauthier.
