St. Francis Barracks Office Club Wedding by Kallima Photography

I used to think that the expression about rain on your wedding day being lucky was a myth.  That was until I saw these photos by Kallima Photography.  This adorable couple lucked out in two ways.  First, they got amazing pre-wedding shots with those adorable clear umbrellas under the cloudy sky that just make the wildflower bouquets and Anthropologie bridesmaid dresses pop and, second, the sky cleared at just the right moment for them to enjoy a beautiful, sweetly DIY-decorated outdoor affair.  March on over to the full gallery to check out the rest!

From Kallima PhotographySarah + Jeff, both from North Florida/Jacksonville area, tied the knot at the St Francis Barracks Officer’s Club in St. Augustine, Florida. The bride and her maids spent the morning and afternoon getting ready at the St Francis Inn. It rained from early morning up until literal MINUTES before the ceremony, so most of the gorgeous portraits and fun pictures of the bridal party are in the rain. Some with umbrellas, and some not!

All details and event styling were coordinated by Katie Perdue, sister of the bride. The snapdragon bouquets and anthropologie dresses coordinated perfectly, and each bridesmaid wore a pair of colorful heels that fit their personality. Friends of the bride did all the hair and makeup, and Katie Perdue designed and made the boutonnieres.

The catering company is run by the bride’s Aunt, Chriss Brown. With a true southern spread of home-style macaroni & cheese, cole slaw, bbq chicken and bbq pork sandwiches, the guests dined underneath a tent in the courtyard of the barracks. Sweet Tea and Arnold Palmers were served, and guests used the mason jars on their tables to fill up at the candy bar. The guest book came in the form of a guest “tree”, where you could leave your thumbprint and sign your name on the branches.
