From the Bride… Miami is a special city to us. We met in Miami, fell in love, got engaged and knew it was the only placed we wanted to get married. Our venue, the W Hotel in South Beach, was perfect from the moment we walked in – the eclectic collection of art, the beautiful marble, and chic furniture. It is modern and romantic. Once we chose the venue, we knew we couldn’t have just one theme or color scheme! Each room was so different; from the lush green lawn our ceremony took place to the gorgeous gold and dark wood ballroom. Our florist, Stan from Jim Threlkel Florist, was so creative that he took our ideas and made them even better than we could have imagined. We loved all of the candles and flowers that decorated our tables.
Josh’s mother is no longer with us and we wanted to honor her on this day. She loved birds and the color purple. At our ceremony, fifteen white doves were released and small hummingbirds were delicately hidden in our centerpieces.
I have a major obsession with sweets – not just a sweet tooth, but I went to pastry school as well. It was difficult to try to choose just one dessert! I wanted something untraditional – we chose a French macaroon cake decorated with golden bees and butterflies. There were even two at the top with a veil and top hat! It didn’t end there though..we had a dessert buffet with homemade brownies, chocolate tarts, and ice cream sundaes (to name a few!).
We wanted our guests to have a weekend they would remember as much as we would. We hung out by the pool during the day and celebrated each night. At our reception, we had a photo booth to document all the fun our guests were having. We also encouraged everyone to take off their high heels and changed into flip flops to continue dancing.
At our after party, we handed out light up glasses and necklaces and served freshly fried donuts, fries and corn dogs! We danced until 3 am as DJ Gunars spun. Our wedding was perfect and it only made Miami that more special.

Gorgeous wedding!!! I love all the details, and your Chuppah is beautiful. I too am getting married in about 3 weeks and will become Mrs. Friedman :)
What vendor did you find for that adorable hanger on Etsy? I need the same one!
oh em gee!! These pictures are fantastic!!! What a gorgeous wedding.
Gorgeous! Where are the bride's hair pins from? They are perfect.
Thanks SMP for featuring Josh and Sasha's wedding! They worked really hard... so I glad they can show it off here :) It was a pleasure to be a part of their day!
That formal shot is fantastic!!! Nice work Jenny!!
Such a tender moment captured with the kiss and hands... great job!
What a gorgeous dress! She looks like a princess.
This was literally the best wedding I've ever been to. So beautiful, so much fun, and so meaningful. As best friends, Sasha and I had been talking about the wedding for over a year and I was still blown away at the whole thing and especially all the little details she purposefully left out so I could be surprised. She was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen :)
Also... I got her that hanger :) Found it on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/aressa?section_id=6112246
Thank you everyone for your kind comments - this was such a nice surprise to start my day! And of course, thank you Jenny and Shelly for capturing it all so I can relive it over and over :)
My hair pins were both from Henri Bendel in New York City. Unfortunately, I do not see them on their website.
Sasha is the most beautiful bride I've ever seen but knowing her as I do, it is also her inner beauty, her grace and generosity of spirit that was shining through that day. I heard about the wedding plans for quite a while and sadly was unable to attend the wedding. But through these gorgeous photos, I got to experience their happiness and joy and the beauty of every aspect of this great event. I know that Sasha was concerned not only with the marriage but that everyone in attendance had a great time. I know that she was concerned with every detail: look at the flip-flops for dancing and the pashminas to make sure the women were not chilled. Sasha is amazing and these photos capture the wedding beautifully. Congratulations!
LOVE this wedding. Awesome, awesome photographer you had!
