You know weddings are the heart of all we do at SMP, but we can never resist a good styled shoot — especially when it’s infused with real life love, like these models who’ve been married for over 20 years! From Imogen Xiana Photography… I designed this shoot because I wanted to capture detail between two genuine lovers. These two have been married 20 years and have 2 children together. They have grown up together and will grow old together and I wanted to document the real and true beauty of their love combined with the timeless elements of this rugged coastline. I was also massively inspired by the television series ‘Poldark’ which hit out TV’s over winter. Louise’s hair just reminded me so much of Demelza’s vibrant and striking locks flowing in the wind!
James wore the same tie he wore 20 years previously on their wedding day, this was just one of the small details that made this shoot extra special. We parked their old Morris Minor traveller overlooking Kimmeridge bay (the bay that James had grown up surfing on). With light delicate details, a beautiful feast and a glass or two of cava, marking a 20 year anniversary with a carefully designed and styled shoot was prefect for these two love birds!
Louise wore two beautiful silk dresses designed by London designer Cherry Williams. The soft blush dress complemented James’s tweed Ralph Lauren jacket, the textures worked so well together. Kelly Spence bridal accessories were beautiful, the simple gold tones worked so well with the dreamy roses in the bouquet, designed by Garden & Wild. Claire also coordinated the silk from Lancaster & Cornish to match the present colour palette of the coastal rocks and the couples attire. The second part of the shoot, Louise wore the ivory Cherry Williams silk gown with a beautiful crystal embellished waist band. This complemented the Morris Minor Traveller. The couple also coordinated in wearing suede and leather shoes. Just to add and more natural element to their outfits.
