Maui Wedding at the Four Seasons from Joanna Tano Photography

Let’s face it – we’ve all dreamt of running off to Maui to say “I do” to the one we love with the beautiful ocean waves dancing in the background.  I mean, if you love weddings (and I know you do), the thought has crossed your mind a time or two.  And since Maui is kind of made for marrying, this stunning affair captured by Joanna Tano is (obviously) a serious bundle of perfection.  It’s breathtaking scenery meets beautiful blooms from Country Bouquets meets a bride and groom who are the epitome of stunning.  See it all in the full gallery.

From Joanna TanoKim was the most stunning bride! This adorable couple was so sweet and so in love. It was an honor to capture their beautiful day at the Four Seasons Maui. They exchanged vows at the Plumeria Lawn and enjoyed cocktails and dinner on the Ocean Front Lawn with friends and family. Congratulations to the lovely couple!

From the Bride… Farzin and I met through a couple that we are both friends with. We saw each other and met maybe twice before we started dating. He proposed to me at the pier in Santa Monica. We went on the ferris wheel overlooking the ocean and he proposed to me on the ferris wheel.

Our wedding was small and  intimate with close friends and family. We choose Maui for our wedding because we have traveled here together before and we both really love it, so we decided to get married here and have our friends and family share in the occasion.

Villa Grock Imperia, Italy Wedding from Les Amis Photo

This is the perfect example of why I love wedding cinematography.  The reason I stress to every single person I know that it’s one of the best decisions you’ll ever make.  Because this film?  This beautiful behind-the-scenes look at the day captured by Les Amis Photo?  It’s mesmerizing.  And it’s moment after moment of a pure joy and love that will warm every last inch of your heart.  Oh, and the Father of the Bride’s speech?  Seriously amazing.  Grab those tissues, press play and enjoy.

From Les Amis Photo… What happens when an Irish couple gets married in Italy? They have a lot of fun.

They love Oneglia, a city in Liguria Coast, and they decided to get married there. The atmosphere was relaxed and very funny. The style was a mix of elegance and shabby chic details with blue as the primary colour. The venue was a particular villa because it was the house of a clown.

The tables were named like Italian sites, and the decoration was rustic but romantic, with candles and low lights. The was a first dance under  the rain, and the dancing party was improvised under the arches. The bride dress was very chic and the groom dress was of a deep blue.

Barbados Wedding at The Crane Resort from Scobey Photography

Barbados is pretty much like the land of fabulous.  A place where sunny blue skies meet even bluer ocean waves and dream weddings happen every minute of every day.  So, jetting off to this gorgeous locale to say I do?  A serious no-brainer.  As is enlisting the services of the majestic Crane Resort, the always-fabulous Scobey Photography and a plethora of other talented vendors to make those amazing memories happen. Get your pretty on in the full gallery.

From Scobey PhotographyHis smile ran through her like a breath. The kind of breath that makes you feel brand new again; no matter what else is going on in life. His smile always had a way of bringing her back to what was important – and that’s how she knew that he was The One. Because in a World where things don’t go as planned; in a World where life surprises you all the time, he is her constant and her best friend. Steady as the waves with a love for her as deep as the ocean. And as she walked down the aisle to her soul mate, on a cliff overlooking the sea, he smiled at her – and she felt brand new.

From the Bride… If I could give future brides one piece of advice, it would be to stay focused on what your wedding day is really all about – marrying your best friend! It is so easy to get lost in all the planning and spending and expectations of others. When things get a little crazy (and they will), remind yourself that this is a celebration of your love story and that’s the most important thing!

My favorite part of wedding planning was finding and creating special touches to make our big day memorable. I’m a huge believer in the saying, “Love is in the details” and I absolutely relished finding specialty thank you place cards, whimsical welcome bag items and doing the little things like choosing the paper and fonts for our invitations. It was like a scavenger hunt to find ideas and items that represented our relationship and also let our guests know how grateful we are to have them in our lives.
