Why is it that everything just feels more romatic, genuine, and absolutely drop dead gorgeous in Rome? There’s got to be something magical about that place and after seeing these beautiful images from Fine Art Wedding, I’m convinced I need to go there to find out for myself exactly what that magic thing is. One thing is for certain and that’s that we are in love with this sweet, sweet couple and their gorgeous and budget (and eco!) friendly day! Click here for all the rest!

From the Bride… After a five-year, long-distance relationship between Garbatella, Rome and Greenwich Village, NYC, I left my adopted NY home and moved to Rome, where I fantasized about wedding locations everywhere I turned! My husband is a native Roman, an art director/graphic designer/actor/theater director and generally just bursting with creativity. So I took advantage of that, bombarding him with all my ideas, which he helped me turn into reality. The custom-made caketopper, hand-drawn invitations, calligraphy-styled envelopes and place cards and amazing musicians were all picked by the groom. My job, you ask? To make everything look pretty — very pretty — in the most budget- and eco-friendly way. I chose aromatic plants, which we still use in the kitchen, local and seasonal wildflowers, many things we had at home, including our bicycles and I admittedly began my love affair with ETSY! So after finding one of the most beautiful gardens in Rome, my job seemed easy but I had high hopes! I think, in the end, it turned out lovely and really represented us!
