From Coralie Polack PhotographyAnnabelle and Cedric met 12 years ago; they were only 17 then. Cedric asked her to marry him on her birthday, in Morocco. They decided to seal their union in a little chapel in Seillans, a small Provençal village. They finished the evening in the Château des Selves, a big winery in the region. With its olive trees, vines, lack of a time limit, an outside space for the cocktail and an indoor space for dinner, this place met all the couple’s requirements.

From the Bride… We followed the advice of our married friends and organized a maximum of things in advance to ensure that the wedding took place in the best possible conditions. We delegated the tasks we would not be able to handle to our sisters and best men, and everything went well. Everyone had only some little things to do, and it enabled us to fully enjoy the day.

We wanted our marriage to reflect us, and so we decided to do everything by ourselves. It was a lot of work, but it was worth it. We wanted the room to look like an indoor garden: lanterns and flowers were the main elements of our decor. To reduce costs, we made the lanterns ourselves out of yogurt cups and wire, and we were really satisfied of the result. Our table decorations were essentially made with salvaged materials: tin cans, jelly pots, bottles, watering cans, and buckets that we had picked up in our friends’ and family’s attics. Everyone was asking why we needed all this old stuff, but the result was great! Finally, my dream car is an old Fiat 500, and Marine’s parents (my best man) said we could borrow theirs! Unfortunately, it broke down on the way to Seillans from Cannes … but it finally started again on the day before the wedding. Phew!
