I can sum up this beautiful wedding in Germany with one word – fairytale. Because it looks like it jumped off the pages of your favorite prince meets princess story. Even better, the groom is a writer of such lovely tales, and I do believe this might be the best story he’s written yet! Jennifer Hejna was there to make sure their once upon a time could live on forever through pictures, and you can see it all in the full gallery of images!

From Jennifer Hejna Photography…Once upon a time… this is how this story should begin. Christian is a modern writer of fairy tales writing stories about princes and adventures, about sneaky ghosts and smart princesses. Tabea is a graphic designer who waited for years for prince charming to arrive. They met through a friend and he fell in love with her, she fell in love with his fairy tales and shortly after with the writer himself. They moved together and in their 1001 nights after their first date he asked her to become his wife. To make this perfect, the engagement ring was from the jeweler “Drachenfels Design” and is called 1001 nights and has the shape of a little crown. She said yes and they started planning their fairy-tale wedding – a topic that came back in every detail of the day.
The bride did all the graphic design and illustration by herself and designed a fairy tale themed wedding. I was already excited when I saw the Rosa Clara dress in the morning – but when I saw the wonderful location I was blown away. The celebration took place in a dance school called Tanzschule Berns with great mirrors and luster’s under the ceiling. Every table had a name of a fairy tale the bride and groom were sitting at the “snow white” table as the bride has brown long hair. The whole decoration was done in white and green from the big canvas with the table setting, to the menu cards to the wonderful candy bar named “land of milk and honey”. Even the wedding cake at midnight was green as “Frog King” and had little marzipan lilies that were also in the wedding bouquet which was of course all green and white. And just the moment where you thought that they could not have been more fairy-tale details I found a frame bathroom saying “Mirror, mirror on the wall…” .
